From 1 April to 31 October 2014, the Acropolis Museum will open on Mondays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in order to accommodate the expected increased number of visitors in Greece during this time period.

On the occasion of the Greek National Holiday on Tuesday 25 March 2014, entry will be free for all visitors at the Acropolis Museum from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and the Museum will celebrate with gallery talks about the Parthenon.

On Friday 21 February 2014, at 7 p.m., the Acropolis Museum welcomes its visitors to a special musical evening dedicated to Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764), one of the most important French composers of the Baroque era, and to the Hungarian composer of the second half of the 20th century, György Ligeti (1923-2006). Their works will be performed by the distinguished soloist pianist Cathy Krier from Luxembourg. This musical event is held in collaboration with the Embassy of Luxembourg in Athens.

With imaginative children's workshops, family backpacks, gallery talks for adults, Christmas and New Year tunes, treats and many more surprises, the Acropolis Museum will welcome visitors on 21, 22, 28 and 29 December 2013.

The program includes children's workshops ‘Gifts for gods and people’, ‘The Iresioni’ and ‘We make ancient pastries at the Museum’ and the gallery talk on ‘Celebrations of ancient Attica’.

On the occasion of the Greek National Holiday of Monday 28 October 2013, the Acropolis Museum will be open and will offer its visitors 10 adult gallery talks about ‘The other gods of the Acropolis’ and 8 workshops for children aged 8-12 years about ‘Myths in images’. Talks and workshops will be held by Museum Archaeologist-Hosts. On this day the Museum will remain open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with free entry for all visitors.
