Ceramic pomegranate

The design is inspired by the pomegranate that Kore 593 is holding as an offering to goddess Athena (580–570 BC). The pomegranate’s numerous seeds have made it a symbol of fertility, abundance, prosperity and good luck. This exhibit can be found on the 1st floor of the Museum in the Archaic Acropolis Gallery.
