Statue type of Aphrodite who is portrayed in the form of Venus Pudica (Modest Aphrodite). She is standing, after having taken a bath, and with both hands tries to cover her breasts and pubis. The name derives from a copy in Palazzo Nuovo in the Capitolium that reproduces an original work of the 3rd or 2nd cent. BC.
