A kiln for firing clay objects. It was a construction with two chambers, a lower one, usually underground, and an upper, overground, one. The two chambers were separated by an intermediate perforated floor which allowed the heat generated in the lower chamber to reach the upper area where the ceramics were stacked. This upper chamber was vaulted with a small ventilation hole on its top.
