Lekythos with graffito for serving oil. It was found intact in 1957 on the south slope of the Acropolis. Its globular body rests on a ring-foot. The neck is narrow, widening towards the outturned rim. The handle rises from the shoulder and adjusts to the neck half-way. Narrow bands of impressed, short lines decorate the body and the neck is ribbed. ΠΡΙΜΑ ΠΡΙΜΟΥ has been inscribed on the shoulder. The colour variations all over the pot surface are possibly due to the pot’s firing conditions.
