Part of the neck and body of a lekythos decorated with the black-figure technique. It was discovered in 1995 during the Makrygiannis plot excavation, within disturbed strata in the area of House ΙΑ. It was recovered in fragments, pieced together and restored.

Herakles, in one of his Labours assigned to him by Eurystheas, is depicted on the vase’s body. The hero –easily recognizable by the lion-skin he is wearing- lifts his club with his right hand threatening an Amazon. His opponent has already collapsed on the ground and tries to protect herself with a shield.

The scene’s background is filled with vines and framed on the upper side by a triple row of black dots, while the shoulder of the vase is decorated with rays and a tongue motif.
