Play, listen and discover the ancient music

What does an ancient lyre sound like? What sound does the flute make? Through selected exhibits of the Museum, students get to know ancient Greek music. With the help of an archaeologist, they observe exhibits related to the subject, experience the sound of the instruments and listen to myths and stories from the past, which highlight the important role of music from ancient times to the present day. Students then engage in a multi-sensory workshop with interactive activities and creative rhythm games.

The program is designed and implemented by the Educational Programs Department of the Acropolis Museum.
