Due to the adventures of the monument, preserved are only a few fragments from the pediments of the Temple of Athena Nike, which makes the identification of their subjects uncertain. It has been suggested that the east pediment featured the Gigantomachy and the west the Amazonomachy.
Part of a naked man’s torso. The figure raised his left hand and perhaps turned also his head to the same direction. Traces of a voluminous object which he would have held are retained on the torso’s right side and part of the chest.
