Available only in Greek.
Could you imagine listening to an ancient lyre or blowing into a flute from the time of the ancients? In this educational program, young students are invited to take part in an interactive storytelling experience that introduces them to the enchanting world of ancient Greek music, by focusing on selected exhibits from the Museum that depict musical scenes and instruments such as the lyre and the flute. Guided by the Museum’s archaeologists, children —through observation, discussion, and fun activities in the education center— come to understand the important role of music in people’s lives from antiquity to the present day.
The program is designed and implemented by the Educational Programs Department of the Acropolis Museum.
