How did the ancient sculptors chisel stone? How did they transfer the material from the quarry? What types of materials did they prefer? How sophisticated were their tools and how did they bring their creations to life? The sculptures of the Acropolis Museum hide many secrets of ancient sculpture. Students are invited to discover them through exhibits in the galleries alongside the archaeologists. The program is followed by a creative, experiential workshop at the specially designed training center.
The program is designed and implemented by the Educational Programs Department of the Acropolis Museum.
