The Acropolis Museum selects exhibits and organizes narrations for adults and children about fire in everyday life, myth, religion and philosophy. Stories that highlight the creative but also destructive nature of the primordial power that was the core of the development of civilization. Narrations will last four days (11-14 October 2012), from which the first two will be dedicated to children while the others for adults.

Visitors unable to take part in the organized narrations will be able to stroll through the galleries and identify the exhibits related to the subject of this action with the help of a special brochure in both English and Greek languages.

Admission to the Museum will be free on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The event is part of the national campaign entitled “Environment and Culture” initiated by the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
