Head of a Kore statuette found on the Acropolis. It preserves small part of the figure’s neck. The facial characteristics are typical of the Archaic art: big almond-shaped eyes, thin brows and the typical smile of the time, the “Archaic smile”.

The back of the head is roughly worked without any rendered details. The red colour of the curly hair must have been the undercoat over which the final hue was applied. The Kore has a tall stephane on the head that was once decorated with paint and round earrings.
