Helios (Sun) was the god of the solar light and heat, son of the Titan Hyperion and brother of Selene (Moon) and Eos (Dawn). He daily drove his chariot that was drawn by four burning horses, rising from the Ocean and crossing the celestial dome, thus spreading light on earth.
