Statue type of Hygeia named after a copy that belonged to T. Hope's collection. The goddess is depicted holding in her right hand a phiale from which a snake that curves around her left arm is drinking. Many researchers consider the original statue a work of Scopas, sculptor of the 4th cent. BC.
