Group of artists (painters and potters) that was active in Attica from ca. 585 until 570 BC. They borrowed shapes like the kylix cup and skyphos from the Corinthian repertoire which they modified and added to the Attic vase shapes. They also borrowed the subject of Corinthian komasts (symposiasts) after which the group was named. Leading figures of the group were the KX and KY Painters.
