The Parthenon possessed the richest sculptural decoration of all ancient Greek temples. The exciting journey of some of its most important sculptures is presented in the video ‘The adventures of the Parthenon marbles in modern times’, starting from the first European traveler to study and make sketches of the Parthenon in 1436, to the removal of the last metope from the monument in 2012 to be preserved and placed on display in the Acropolis Museum.
