The Acropolis Museum, in collaboration with the Department of History and Archaeology of the School of Philosophy, University of Crete, and the Department of Mediterranean Studies of the University of the Aegean, organizes an international coloquium entitled "Eastern Mediterranean, Aegean, Black Sea: New Approaches", to be held on 7, 8, and 9 November 2025 at the "Dimitrios Pantermalis" Auditorium of the Acropolis Museum.
Since the 1990s, the University of Crete and the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus have undertaken a series of Conferences and Exhibitions devoted to exploring interconnections across the eastern and central Mediterranean in antiquity.

The forthcoming conference at the Acropolis Museum expands this long-standing field of inquiry by incorporating the Black Sea, bringing together leading academics and distinguished scholars of international renown to present new perspectives on antiquity in the Mediterranean, the Aegean, and the Black Sea.
