Vessel used for the transportation and storage of liquids created around the middle of the 3rd cent. BC. West Slope amphoras produced in Attica have usually a squat body, molded ring-foot, cylindrical flaring neck and twisted rope handles. They are covered with glaze both on the interior and the exterior and bear the characteristic West Slope decoration on the neck that consists of floral, mostly, motifs, made with added reddish or white clay and sometimes incisions.
