Queen of the Amazons, Theseus' wife and Ippolytos' mother. She was the only married Amazon in mythology. Theseus kidnapped her with the help of other heroes and brought her to Athens. When the Amazons attacked the city demanding their queen back, Antiope fought on the side of her husband and fell in battle.
