Olympian goddess, daughter of Zeus and Dione. According to a different version of the myth, she was born from the foam produced by Ouranos' genitals as they were severed by Kronos and thrown into the sea. She was the goddess of beauty, love and pleasure and her symbols were the dove, the goose, the myrtle and the pomegranate.
