Fragment of a large vessel, probably an amphora, decorated in the black-figure technique. It was found in 1996 during the Makrygiannis plot excavation, east of METRO I street in the place where House ΙΑ was built at a later date.

The surviving surface depicts a lion head with a rounded snout and gaping mouth, turned to the right. Details on the animal are rendered with incisions and the mane, mouth and teeth are given with purple and white colour respectively. The scene’s background showcases rosettes and part of a ray motif is preserved above the lion.
